During Capcom’s GamesCom press conference, more screens and information were leaked about Bionic Commando Rearmed 2.
No new information about the game was released, really. Rather, the press release teased some new features while reconfirming previously established facts about the game. New weapons, attacks, and enhancements for Spencer’s bionic arm will be available. Physics-based puzzles will be present, though I’m unsure if they’re going to replace the hacking mini-games (which I rather liked). 2-Player co-op is back and “better than ever.” I wonder what will be new about that aspect of the game. Online capabilities? I really enjoyed the 4-player battle mode, so an online version of that would be excellent. The musical score is new, though it’s being produced by the same mind behind the first game’s score, Simon Viklund (who also arranged the Final Fight: Double Impact score). Also, you can jump now, but I’m sure you already knew that. Unfortunately, no release date has been set for the title. As soon as we get that information, we’ll post it. Till then, I suggest you go back and brush up on your swinging by playing BCR1.
