Bust-A-Move 4 joins the PSone Classics range

Natsume is bringing 1998’s Bust-A-Move 4 to PSN in North America as a PSone Classic sometime this spring. The company expects the game to be compatible with PS3, PSP, and PS Vita. Thankfully, this is one of the entries in the series that used cute dinosaurs instead of weird babies. Those cute dinos are named Bub & Bob, and their goal in Bust-A-Move 4 is to rescue the seven shattered rainbow bubbles. If they don’t interest you, there’s ten other playable characters, with an additional four more to unlock.

Bust-A-Move 4 has eight playable game modes, including Puzzle Mode, Versus Mode, and Edit Mode, which allows players to create up to 25 unique stages. The fourth game in Taito’s long running series (which also goes under the name of Puzzle Bobble) was the first to add the pulley and chain reactions gameplay mechanics. Pulleys require players to play the entire field so that the weights on each side of the stage don’t rise or fall too low.
