It is always good to see a developer come back and address complaints that users have with a game. Housemarque did this with Dead Nation and now HandCircus is doing the same with Okabu.
If you hadn’t noticed, Okabu has a brand new patch up on PSN (Both US and EU versions have be updated). Simon Oliver, founder over at HandCircus, told Ben in a recent email that “we made some tweaks to the gameplay to reduce frustrations some players were experiencing.” So check out the list below and let us know what you think about the fixes:
Fix for rare crash on levels 2-3 and 2-5
Fix for sound issues on Dolby Digital 5.1 Systems
Several small level collision fixes to prevent shortcuts and rare situations where the player can get stuck
Fix for occasional game slowdown in World 4
2-5 — Giant seed can now be rained on as well as sprayed with water
Roki can no longer be hit with missiles when controlling a vehicle
It’s now easier to collect dozabot medals (statistic awarded in minigames too)
Fixes for some small English spelling & grammar mistakes
Fix for incorrect save game status when completing the game
Homing missiles now time out after 3 seconds
Fix for UI elements sometimes being badly proportioned in SD
Music now plays during the intro
