It is no surprise that Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection is at the top of the list this month. Before it was removed from the store, Mortal Kombat 2 was a fixture on the monthly lists put out on Pulse. Resident Evil 4 was also the most rated game for the month of September so it is no surprise that it is listed as high as it is.
Notable games missing for September are Rochard, God of War Origins Collections, BloodRayne: Betrayal. Rochard I can understand, as it only has 1 week of sales and got an advertising push in October not September. BloodRayne: Betrayal was part of the PSN Play promotion which was heavy advertized on the PS Blog and the PS Store however. Not really sure why that one was a dud, possibly do to the high price-point.
Next month’s data should be interesting with the new Only On PSN promotion. I expect to see inFamous 2: Festival of Blood to make a splash.
