Metrico+ Charting Course to PS4 in 2016

Last year’s Metrico garnered polarizing scores from critics. Yours truly found it to contain “unadulterated discovery and exploration,” tapping into “our inherent curiosity as humans.” Others found the controls and use of the Vita’s features in general to be an elaborate gimmick. Regardless, the game is being rebooted for consoles and Steam.
I personally can’t wait to see how such a Vita-centric game makes its transition to the big screen, so to speak. The graphics are being completely revamped, which is nice (my only complaint about the original was framerate chugging). I’m sure there will be some controller tilting and perhaps some touchpad tapping, but does the DualShock 4 have as many nifty inputs as the little console that could? One thing I think will work better on (non-handheld) consoles is the global stat tracking mechanic. I hope to sway and be swayed by the decisions of people on my friends list.
I won’t be at the upcoming Gamescom, where the game will be first shown, but if you’re attending, be sure to check it out! It’s definitely on my watch list for 2016.
