This week’s Famitsu is revealing the next set of PlayStation 2 games expected to hit the PS2 Archives program in Japan. Scheduled for February 18th, Sony published RPG Legaia 2 and SNK Playmore’s NeoGeo Battle Coliseum will soon be playable on PS3. The duo will run you 1234 and 1000 yen, respectively.
Legaia 2: Duel Saga is the 2001 followup to the cult RPG Legend of Legaia. While not directly tied to the original in narrative, the sequel continues the first’s turn-based battle system. Taking place in the land of Legaia, Duel Saga embarks on a new storyline starring Lang, a youth adopted by a local militia leader. Lang sets off on a quest to reclaim his town’s source of water, but soon finds himself embroiled in a battle to determine the fate of the world.
NeoGeo Battle Coliseum is a 2-on-2 tag team crossover fighting game from SNK Playmore. Featuring characters from The King of Fighters, Fatal Fury, Art of Fighting, Samurai Shodown, Metal Slug and more, this game is set in 2017 and pits players against the Warez Conglomerate and its world toppling ambitions.
While nothing has been announced, both titles were previously published in the west on PS2.
