Capcom announced today that Resident Evil Remastered will support Cross-Buy between PS3 and PS4 in North America if you pre-order it from the PlayStation Store. You’ll also get an exclusive theme for PS3. The re-release of this horror classic is set for January 20th at $20. You can pre-order it here. The game supports pre-loading, so you’ll be able to download the game before release and play it at midnight before everyone else.
For those unaware of what this release is, here’s a refresher: Resident Evil is a 1996 PSone game about two police officers that find themselves trapped in a zombie filled mansion. In 2002, it was remade on the Nintendo Gamecube. Those were days when a remake actually meant the entire game was remade. It contained then new art, audio and video assets that took advantage of the machine’s capabilities and included some new things. Capcom is bringing this version of the game to PS3 and PS4 with widescreen support and some slight alterations.
