Life Is Strange: Episode 1 Launches Next Month

Over the summer Square Enix and Dotnod, the studio behind Remember Me, announced Life Is Strange, a new episodic title coming to PS3 and PS4. While the duo shared screenshots and a taste of the game’s story, today marks the first time the teen drama receives a trailer. The trailer comes attached to a release date for the first episode (out of five), January 30th for $4.99. The Complete Season will be available for $19.99. Those that don’t want to commit to the entire season can buy the first episode and then purchase the separate Season Pass that includes the rest for $16.99.

Square Enix describes Life Is Strange:

Life is Strange is a five part episodic game that sets out to revolutionise story based choice and consequence games by allowing the player to rewind time and affect the past, present and future. You are Max, a photography senior who saves her old friend Chloe by discovering she can rewind time. The pair soon find themselves exposed to the darker side of Arcadia Bay as they uncover the disturbing truth behind the sudden disappearance of a fellow student. Meanwhile, Max begins to have premonitions as she struggles to understand the implications of her power. She must quickly learn that changing the past can sometimes lead to a devastating future.
