We haven’t heard much from Rocketbirds: Evolution since we uncovered the concept art included with the Vita version of the original game. The silence is over as Ratloop just dropped a trailer (featuring a pretty good chunk of gameplay) in preparation for the Independent Games Festival.
The new trailer features gameplay from the 1-4 player rescue mode, some hints at what the single player campaign has in store for players, and of course a brand new song from New World Revolution. (NWR being the band that was responsible for he soundtrack of the original game.)
After the fall of Albatropolis, General Puff and the Budgie Commandos have set up residence in the old hotel and are getting themselves organized! Assemble a strike force of great magnitude and go on rescue missions behind enemy lines in the game’s 1 – 4 player Rescue Mode. Leave no bird behind!
iL Putzki, that dastardly Penguin despot, is still alive – and the evil totalitarian Penguin regime seems stronger than ever! What’s up with that? Uncover the sinister plot as Hardboiled Chicken, the Original Coq of War, and put an end to it, once and for all in the full, single player story campaign.
Rocketbirds: Evolution is scheduled to release on PS4 and Vita early next year.
