Strider 2 Set For PSone Classics Release Next Tuesday

Not to be confused with a potential sequel to this year’s Strider reboot, this Strider 2 launched in arcades in 1999. The next year it received a PSone release bundled with a port of the original 1989 Strider. Capcom announced that version of the game will join the PSone Classics program on October 7th for PS3, PS Vita and PSP.
Picking up where the original game left off, Strider 2 sees Hiryu confront the Grandmaster once again. Presented as a 2D side-scrolling action game, the sequel added 3D backgrounds to demonstrate the capabilities of the PSone.
