PSNStores and Extra Life 2014. Play games, heal kids.

On October 25, 2014 some of the PSNStores team will be participating in this year’s Extra Life gaming marathon. For 24 hours we’ll be streaming games through our Twitch channel in order to raise money for Children’s Hospitals around the country. To learn more about Extra Life and how it began be sure to check out this page on their website.

100% of the money raised goes directly to the Children’s Hospitals in our local areas and is tax-deductible. It all goes towards helping kids. To donate you can head over to any of our Extra Life pages and click on the Support Me button. (We’ll add more editor pages once they’ve been created.)

With Extra Life a little under a month away we’re still in the midst of planning things out. Since we’re spread out across the country and unable to get together in one location, we’ll each take turns streaming on a set rotation. Every few hours a new editor will rotate in and begin streaming something entirely different throughout the 24 hour block. Once we have a set schedule locked down we’ll be sure to update this post with all of the details. This all begins at 8 a.m. central time on October 25th and runs for 24 hours until 8 a.m. on October 26th.

The video above that shares the story of Extra Life also details just how big of a difference we can all make. Just last year 43,000 people came together to raise over 4 million dollars to support Children’s Hospitals all over the world. This year we want to help and hope you’ll join us in helping to make a difference in a young kid’s life.
