Namco Bandai originally launched Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation in Japan on June 28, 2012, and slowly expanded it to other Asian markets. The multiplayer team action game for the PlayStation 3 became one of the more successful free-to-play games in the region on PlayStation Network. Today, Namco Bandai has announced that total downloads have surpassed one million in Japan. To celebrate this milestone, the company will host a special in-game event from March 13th to the 26th.
Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation is the first in Namco Bandai’s line of free-to-play games for the PlayStation Network. That has since expanded to include Tekken Revolution, Ridge Racer Driftopia, Soul Calibur: Lost Swords, and Ace Combat Infinity.
