I’ve previously spoken to Thomas Hopper in great length about games, game development, and more during our live Google Hangout On Air. He hinted at a project he had been working on for sometime, going as far as to say it will be his most ambitious PSM game to date. Console Saga looks to be that game.
The latest trailer for Console Saga showcases the game’s protagonist…a recognizable handheld gaming console to most 30-somethings and maybe even some 20-somethings hellbent on collecting. She can shoot, jump, and even swing in what looks to be an overarching compilation of Thomas Hopper’s PSM experiences all wrapped up into one amazing looking game.
The man behind TACS Games wanted to quickly say something to the PSNStores readers about Console Saga:
I’ve been working on Console Saga on and off for quite some time. It is my love letter to hardcore retro platform games. Expect a decent challenge that can only be overcome with decent thumb-skills.
I’m told the game is ready for submission barring the completion of some playthrough testing. We should hope to see its release onto PlayStation Mobile store fronts as early as a few weeks or so.
If you’d like to learn more about the game I urge you to follow @thos_thom on Twitter and to visit his blog where he writes about his games throughout the development process and encourages feedback. Of course, let us know what your thoughts are on the game and PlayStation Mobile in general with a comment down below.
