Have you ever wanted to experience an Assassin’s Creed game, but never wanted to devote the time or money to a full release? Ubisoft has got you covered, as the company has announced a standalone release of Assassin’s Creed Freedom Cry on PSN for PS3, and PS4. The game was originally released last year as DLC for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, but now can be enjoyed without owning the full game.
Freedom Cry tells the story of Adéwalé, a former slave rescued by pirates and trained to be an assassin. Stranded in what is now known as Haiti, Adéwalé joins the slave liberation movement, and finds himself conflicted as he attempts to balance the obligations of an assassin with the needs of the rebellion.
Assassin’s Creed Freedom Cry will be available on February 18th for $14.99 in North America.
