Back in July the ESRB gave us a hint that the PlayStation Vita’s cute augmented reality kitten app, Aab’s Animals may be making its way to PlayStation 3. The developer of the game, Aabs Inc, has announced that this new PS3 version will launch later this month around the globe. North America will be able to get adorable kittens on their TVs starting December 17th, with Europe following the next day, and SCEJA regions rounding out the release on December 19th.
Pricing details weren’t shared. While it hasn’t been confirmed, I would assume you’ll need a PlayStation Eye to use Aabs Animals on PS3. Portions of the Vita game’s revenues were donated to the Japan Animal Welfare Society, and Fukushima Animal Welfare organizations.
UPDATE: We were able to contact Aabs Inc. to ask about some of the release details. The game will be $4.99 in North America, and will not feature augmented reality content.
