PlayStation Vita System Update 3.00 Coming Soon

A new system update is coming soon to the PS Vita and it brings with it some PS4 connectivity features. You can check out the video above from the PlayStation Blog or read below for the full list of new features coming to the Vita.
Using the new PS4 app the Vita can now take advantage of remote play and second screen functionality for games that support it. Remote play will work with most PS4 games with the exception of games that require the PlayStation Camera. The Vita can now connect via WiFi to the PS3 whenever you need to transfer data. The Party app will allow Vita owners to join voice chats with other PS4 owners and even send text messages to PS4 or to mobile devices with the PlayStation App. The Friends app now features improved UI, there’s now a Parental Controls app on the home screen, email contacts can be synced, you can now take panoramic photos, and the Trophies app will now display PS4 trophies. Finally there’s now an option in the settings menu that will allow you to download new Vita system updates automatically. This new update will be available “soon”.
