PSNStores Weekly Roundup: February 18th – 24th 2013

This past Wednesday millions of fans had their eyes glued to the live stream of PlayStation Meeting 2013 as Sony finally announced the PlayStation 4. While there was plenty of info about the new system to get us all excited for holiday 2013 not much was mentioned about the next phase of PSN downloadable games, but we did manage to see some gameplay of Jonathan Blow’s next game, The Witness, which will be a timed console exclusive to the PS4. But don’t think the PS3 will be slowing down with the new console on the horizon as this week we got word that Hotline Miami, Deathmatch Village, Super Motherload, and (possibly) Rainbow Skies will be making their way to the system.

Last weekend Eric had the opportunity to attend IndieCade East and took in the first ever PlayStation Mobile GameJam which seen 10 teams each creating a PSM game over the course of a week. You can check out the semi-finalists that will have a chance to show off their creations at the Game Developers Conference next month along with the other six competitors that put their hard work into creating some fantastic sounding and looking games in a very short amount of time. It’s also looking like one of our favorite indie titles, Sound Shapes, will be getting some more love next month as Queasy Games announced that new DLC for the game will be available on March 12th along with a patch that will allow Vita players to download user created levels to play offline (which is a godsend to Wi-Fi only players).  Make sure to check out these stories and more below in your PSNStores Weekly Roundup:
