This year’s Game Connection Europe awards have come and gone, and Frogmind’s Badland has claimed the top Sony Computer Entertainment Europe prize. The prize includes a Vita/PlayStation dev kit and technical support for the launch of its game on PlayStation®Network, and the team has been invited to attend a Sony platforms training day at the company’s European headquarters in London. The runners up, Guns of Icarus Online from Muse Games, USA, and Shadow Diver the Game from Gamagora, have also been invited to attend the training day too, which seems a lovely gesture.
Badland appears to be a rather pretty looking side scroller, and the trailer, attached above, should show you everything you need to know about the game. Amusingly, the game already has platforms announced, with those being iOS devices. With the team potentially receiving a Vita kit, Badland looks like it could be a great Vita title, if the team chooses to go down that route. We’ll let you know if they do.
