WipEout 2048’s DLC Arrives This Week.

In a post today on the PlayStation Blog, it was announced that the hotly anticipated WipEout 2048 DLC, containing the tracks from WipEout HD and the Fury expansion pack, would be coming to US PSN today, and to EU PSN accounts tomorrow. The packs are as follows;

WipEout Complete Game Pack
Contains both WipEout HD and Fury Single Player Campaign Modes. 24 tracks, including 12 reverse tracks and 4 Zone tracks. All 24 ships, and a Zone Mode Ship. Priced at $12.99/€12.99/£9.99.

WipEout HD Game Pack
Contains the full Single player WipEout HD Campaign Mode. 12 tracks, including 8 reverse tracks, 12 ships and a Zone Mode Ship. Priced at $7.99/€7.99/£6.49.

WipEout HD Fury Game Pack
Contains the full Single player WipEout HD Fury campaign Mode. 12 tracks, including 4 reverse tracks and 4 Zone tracks, 24 ships and a Zone Mode Ship. Priced at $7.99/€7.99/£6.49.

Some pretty substantial DLC there for the game, but that isn’t all. If you already own Wipeout HD or Wipeout HD fury on PSN, then you’ll be getting these DLC packs on Vita for free. That’s a pretty awesome way to treat people who have already bought these tracks in one form, and I wholeheartedly applaud it. Of course, the DLC comes with new trophies, so if you already own WipEout 2048 and the PSN versions of HD and Fury, you’d be mad to pass this up.
