Rock Band Blitz Announced

Harmonix have just announced (via X-Play over at G4) their new downloadable game entitled Rock Band Blitz. The primarily single player based game looks very similar to past games like Frequency, Amplitude and more recently Rock Band: Unplugged. You cruise down the note highway switching lanes for each instrument as you press corresponding buttons on the controller to play the song.

While the game will launch with just 25 songs the most exciting news is that all past Rock Band DLC will work with the game. Also all future DLC will work with the other Rock Band games including Blitz. The game is scheduled to release this summer and it looks like we’ll have more information tomorrow.
