Today, City Interactive announced Alien Fear, a new “arcade-style” first person shooter currently in development for PSN. Details are scarce, but we do know that the game is promised to be “adrenaline filled”, and that the game will contain “arcade aggression”. Of course, the game is powered by Unreal Engine 3, so hopefully City Interactive can craft a visually interesting game on that engine that stands up with the prettier PSN efforts.
Alien Fear doesn’t have a release date yet, but we’ll let you know as soon as we have more information on the title. Here’s the press release, if you’re in to that sort of thing, along with some concept art.
WARSAW, POLAND, April 3, 2012 — In the war on aliens, some problems are solved with the pull of a trigger. In Alien Fear, a new arcade-style, first-person shooter (FPS) from City Interactive, a fast-growing international publisher and developer of interactive entertainment, every problem is solved through superior firepower. Powered by the Unreal Engine 3, Alien Fear promises to deliver visceral, non-stop, run-and-gun action for the Microsoft Xbox Live Arcade and Sony PlayStation Network.
Alien Fear is a head-long rush of adrenaline-filled, close quarter combat where players assume the role of a highly trained elite commando on a mission of sabotage. Whether fighting across beautifully composed sci-fi vistas, or working co-operatively to buzzsaw your way through hordes of aggressive enemies, Alien Fear is a sustained burst of arcade aggression.
Alien Fear is currently in development for Microsoft Xbox Live Arcade and Sony PlayStation Network at City Interactive’s Bydgoszcz studio. Additional gameplay details and official release date will be announced in the near future.
