Update: I may have mentioned that the Only On PSN was a failure, but it seems that the chart below only tells half the story. The first week’s sales for all Only On PSN titles are not included. So these titles might be doing better than listed or not listed.

A month has passed so you know what that means… more PSN sales data! Below are the top 20 games sold on the PlayStation Network throughout the month of October. Note that these are games that were purchased, not given away via PlayStation Plus.

Here are the best selling games for the month of October:

03. Crysis
04. Chrono Trigger
05. Resident Evil 4
06. Angry Birds
07. Dungeon Defenders
08. Castlevania: Harmony of Despair
09. From Dust
10. Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection
11. Saints Row 2
12. Resident Evil 2
13. Final Fantasy VII
14. Resident Evil 3: Nemesis
15. Odin Sphere
16. Burnout Crash!
17. Real Steel
18. Castle Crashers

The Only On PSN promotion was a huge failure. Not a single new game released under the promotion cracked the Top 20. While games that are over a year old did. Two of the PS2 re-releases, Odin Sphere and God Hand, did make it however.

inFamous: Festival of Blood was the best performing of the Only On PSN titles based on User Rating Data. It racked up the most user ratings for any game in October making its exclusion from the list puzzling.
