Oddworld assets bound into view

Just Add Water have been rather busy indeed. Hard at work on the PSN versions of Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath and Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee, they announced at E3 that the games won’t just be coming to PS3, but to the PlayStation Vita as well, and that they will both hopefully be available at the device’s launch. While the idea of more portable Oddworld is an enticing one, the fine folks over there have sent us some lovely assets for the game, and while they don’t show us the HD coat of paint the games are going to be getting in their transition to Sony platforms, they do show us how lovely the games already look when the resolution is kicked up a couple of notches. The HD models and textures aren’t quite ready for primetime just yet unfortunately.
Stranger’s Wrath is slated to come out Summer/Fall 2011, with Munch’s Oddysee following soon after in the same Fall. When all the games are out, they’ll also be available as a bundle known as “The Oddboxx”, which features the two games above, along with the PS1 versions of Abe’s Oddysee and Exoddus, at a price that is sure to be announced sometime this year. We’ll keep you posted when anything new from these games pops up, as I’m as excited as you are to finally play some of these formerly Xbox exclusive titles.
