Warlords Making a Comeback This Summer

Holy crap. This sounds like an amazing idea. Remember Warlords? You know, Warlords. To be honest, I didn’t know what it was before receiving the news that it’s making a comeback this summer.

Warlords is a 1-4 player arcade action game that plays a lot like Pong. The idea of the game is to defend your castle by deflecting a fireball towards other players’ castles. It sounds like there are a bunch of new features, including the ability to play both locally and online in cooperative and competitive battles. Modes include co-op siege, 2v2, or classic free-for-all battles. The press release also makes mention of troops which will be micromanaged in order to capture control points and gather control points. From what it looks like, I’m guessing you control your Pong paddle with one control stick and your troops with the other. Things may get a little hectic, but the game looks rather fun.
