As announced late last year, Sony’s streaming Music Unlimited service goes live today for the U.S., Australia, and New Zealand. The “Powered By Qriocity” service comes in both a Basic ($3.99/mo) and Premium ($9.99/mo) flavours, with a free 30- day trial of the Premium service available at launch. Sign on to your PS3 and you will be advised to review the Terms of Service again before being allowed back on the Playstation Network; they’ve primarily been updated to cover the terms of the new Music service.
With access to over six million songs streaming to PS3s, PSPs, and other Sony devices, Music Unlimited is delivering quite a bit of content. The service actually rolled out to France, Germany, Italy, & Spain in January of this year. A post on the Playstation Blog, as well as the official press release, detail the full features offered by the service.
Unfortunately, Music Unlimited is still unavailable in Canada.
