X-Men Arcade Coming to PSN

Yes. Yes yes yes yes yes. The X-Men 6 player arcade cabinet is getting ported to consoles. This autumn, PSN and XBLA users will be able to download and play X-Men. The game features local and online multiplayer, with drop-in support for online games. While the bulk of the graphics don’t seem to have been upscaled, the HUDs, menus, and leaderboards sure are.

Local multiplayer is said to support up to 4 players, but the PSN version may be able to support 6. There are several difficulty settings, so if you’re having trouble moving The Blob, knock it down to Easy and breeze through the game.

Let’s just hope this game doesn’t get the same treatment Turtles in Time got last year. Side-scrolling beat ’em ups have been all the rage this year, but I’m sure there’s room for one more, Uncanny, release.
